The Caustic Night
A TROIKA! compatible adventure by JVC Parry.
The Caustic Night portrays the events of a truly ruinous threat to the city of Troika in which the characters must intervene for the preservation of lives: their own and those of the esteemed citizens of the numinous city. A disenfranchised sorcerer of the Academy of Doors, Ranqui Esquire, seeks to unlatch a portal to the plane of slime, from which shall pour forth an untold quantity of searing acid capable of dissolving an entire city block, in which (by no accident) is the manse of the most prestigious wizard of the academy.
In this adventure, the characters arrive at Villa dell'Autarca in order to take part in the city’s pre-eminent dancing competition, the Campionato Metropolitano di Danza (CaMeDa). During the championship, suspicious activity is revealed within the hypogeum, of which any competitor may be responsible. A brief and deadly investigation on the part of the characters results in the discovery of the disguised Ranqui Esquire, whom the characters must capture before he escapes the ballroom.
